Aeroitalia will launch a domestic flight from Salerno to Turin in May. Tickets start at $40 one way.

The Salerno — Turin route enhances domestic connections in Italy and makes travel between the southern part of the country and the northern industrial and cultural center easier without long train trips. Flights arrive at Torino Airport (Aeroporto di Torino — Caselle, TRN), which is located about 16 kilometers from the city center. The airport is compact and convenient, with a terminal equipped with restaurants, shops, waiting areas, car rental services, and intuitive navigation. This allows passengers to quickly go through formal procedures and exit the airport within 15-20 minutes, making it easy to get into the city.

Transportation options include trains, buses, and taxis. SADEM buses are the main mode of transportation, connecting the airport to the city center of Turin (Porta Susa and Porta Nuova) in about 30-40 minutes, with regular departures. A train connection is also available (Torino Dora station with a transfer), and a taxi ride takes about 25-30 minutes.

Within the city, metro, trams, and buses represent the transport system. They cover the main areas, including the historical center, museums, and business districts. This ensures convenient movement without a car.

From the city center, it is convenient to travel about the Piedmont region by Trenitalia and Italo trains. You can go to Milan; the trip will take about 1 hour, to Asti, or to the Alpine resorts. All this makes Turin an excellent starting point for trips to northern Italy.
