Carnival Corporation & plc, the largest cruise tourist company in the world, after long consultations has changed the routes of 12 ships, refusing from May from voyages on the Red Sea.
<p>The reason for this decision was the activation of the Hussites in Yemen, which jeopardised shipping in the region. Despite claims by representatives of the paramilitary group’s leadership, militants regularly attack container ships and warships. Missile attacks by US and UK forces on Yemen have only inflamed the situation, forcing cruise companies to adjust their itineraries. Carnival Corporation & plc announced a ban on visiting the Red Sea until at least November.</p>
