In March, the island of Aruba will introduce the Aruba Happy One Pass digital tourist pass system.
<p>Travellers will be able to store their passport details and boarding pass on a mobile device, making it easier to pass through the airport border checkpoint. Facial scanning will be used to confirm the identity of passengers. Aruba is one of the few destinations in the world to use this technology. The Aruba Happy One Pass was created in 2020 as a response to the pandemic. Its initial purpose was to track the vaccination status of travellers. The programme is set to expand in the future, allowing resort guests to use their mobile devices to check into hotels, rent cars, and book tours with tour operators.</p>
